Recovery Helpline

The Peer Recovery Network are offering a telephone helpline service for anyone struggling with their recovery. The helpline number is 01382 797 875. Lines are open Monday-Friday from 10am-2pm.
The service will also be available over the festive season, and from 24th December through until 4 January, it will be open every day from 12-2pm.
The helpline is for anyone struggling with their recovery or concerned about their own substance/alcohol use. It offers support for individuals struggling with addiction, contemplating recovery or struggling with their recovery to talk to someone in times of crisis.
The line will be manned by peer workers and volunteers who are also in recovery and have undertaken both Smart Recovery and ASIST training. Callers will be able to access the helpline by ringing once and then a peer worker or volunteer will phone back. This will break down the barriers of not having credit to phone due to deprivation, homelessness or financial constraints.
The helpline will provide a friendly ear for sign posting and importantly a service where you can speak to someone who has been there and understands the trigger urges and emotions.
