TCA vacancies – Volunteer Support, Safe Zone Bus, Dundee
Up to 14hrs per week – 10pm to 4am weekends
TCA is currently leading on an initiative in Dundee which supports a Safety Zone, SOS bus in the city centre between 10pm and 4am on a Friday and Saturday evening. The bus has support workers, medical practitioners on board and is also supported by Police Scotland.
We are seeking to recruit a number of volunteers to support this initiative which will likely commence on 1 April 2015.
There will be Team Leader posts in place to lead and support volunteers to support the smooth running of the initiative. Both roles will be working with vulnerable adults and young people who are under the influence of alcohol and other substances.TCA recognise the valuable and unique contribution volunteers make and this is a great opportunity for volunteers to gain confidence and develop new skills development in a supported environment.
Volunteers have the option to support one to two nights as available and will be allocated nights on an agreed rota basis by the Team Leader. There may be the opportunity to work more than two nights dependent on need.
