TCA Peer Mentors visit Prague

Two of our Peer Mentors recently participated in project called Confident Ambassadors in European Learning (CAEF), which involved a visit to Prague on a work placement.

Watch this short film to find out more about CAEF and the life changing experiences, new cultures and confidence building that this project brings about. The film features TCA’s Peer Mentor, Margaret.

Background to the project

The opportunity was made possible by Light on the Path (LOTP) – a limited company committed to developing opportunities for people both in the UK and throughout Europe.  LOTP has worked in partnership with a range of agencies across Scotland and mainland Europe to deliver projects that have shared good practice and learning in the employability field.

Last year they were successful in securing EU funding from the Leonardo Da Vinci Lifelong Learning Programme to offer the opportunity for volunteers and staff from Social Enterprises and Third Sector organisations in Scotland to experience working and living in another European country (for two to four weeks). LOTP were really excited to be able to offer this opportunity to Tayside Council on Alcohol.

LOTP currently works with a range of partners in Scotland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic and Sweden and is constantly striving to widen these partnerships for mutual benefits.
